latest movie nights in the eden house:

deadgirl (2008) and teeth (2007). i read reviews on deadgirl saying things like 'this is most gruesome shit i have ever seen' and 'not the type of movie you bring your girlfriend to'. i thought yey, this is gonna be gore-ay.. but i wasnt really prepared for what it actually meant..

shame is what i felt fifteen minutes in; shame that i was putting my housemate and boyfriend through that shit. shame that i finished it! but i was desperate to see how they could wrap up a story like that.

deadgirl is basically about two 17 year old boys who stumble upon a naked, beautiful, tied-up woman in a basement (how lucky can pubertal virgin be?) and decides to 'keep her'. as she is a tied up zombie; she cannot say no, she is not goin anywhere and she cannot die. that does apparently mean that teenage boys will rape her, repeatedly. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh what? it is actually suggesting that "free pussy" can not be resisted. no matter how good your morals are. and sure some of the boys are pretty reluctant at first but according to the writers of deadgirl; men will rape if they can, even if they have amazing girlfriends and the victim is a rotting corpse! it's just scene after scene with this shit.

better was teeth actually. incredibly fucked up and amazingly bizarre story about a teenage girl who has teeth in her vagina. and even though she is an innocent little girl who does not believe in sex before marriage men seem extremely eager to put things inside her. all the time. this, as you can image, does not end well.

if there is one thing i cant deal with in movies its rape. i can seriously stomach most things, but that is way beyond the line.. it never does the film any favours as it is TOO uncomfortable. too much!

i hasnt been very warm in melbourne lately but tuesday was a really beautiful day. we cruised for some 'lord of the fries' which is vegan/vegetarian fast food and had some vegan nuggets with mango chutney OH LORD that shit is my lover! i love you! with our munchies we headed up to our friends penthouse with a crazy view of the city and smoked for a couple of hours. then a thunderstorm came, it was amazing.. purple clouds and lighting. looked so good from that balcony, we also witnessed a car crash below.

then we cruised down to a beautiful screening of the movie 'suite for ma dukes'. a project started on the day that would have been j dilla's 33 birthday. it's an orchestra of im guessing 60 playing dilla beats and the money goes to dilla's hiers, to cover the medical bills from his passing and so forth. jerks my tear canals.

went straight home after my nightmare morning/lunch, stationed my tired temple on the couch with a yummy sandwhich and a big cup of mango breakfast tea. played a horror flick and napped. story of my life?

my girl lauren came over and we found an asain HUGE supermarket with everything you could possibly want. walkable distance and just discovered after living here for almost six monts!

probably 30 different kinds of tofu. every mock meat imaginable (im talkin fake prawns!). aloe vera water! but the absolutely best thing was ONE KILO OF PEELED GARLIC! i love garlic to death but loose my shit when i have to peel them and then slice thinly.. takes way too long since i want like six in my sauce. this is THE solution. i am so happy. 2 bucks. wwwooooowwww.

i just bought a new camera body. stings like piss in the pants but im telling myself it was time for upgrade. got a canon 7d. with video feature! how fun! shame i have to glue it to myself. not gonna run the risk of loosing you for nothing, future lover.

summer is over. and i am actually torn in my love/hate for this. during summer you dont really get those pleasant kinda of warm days, its more like 'omfg were melting'! so cooler days seem like a bliss. and another huge thing is clothing! i dont like to dress in colours and i dont like to show all my skin (its purple, ssch) so everything not summer is black, black, black and some grey.. yey, my favourite colours!

so, the cooler days have arrived. and into the house with barely no windows. aka were fucked. haha! me and stuart even went to k-mart last night to buy over-sized sweat shirts! i love k-mart except for the fact that they n.e.v.e.r have the smaller sizes. not only fat ppl use ur store, mang!

i really feel like i have to endure more shit and bad luck than i deserve. my joint huge dnb birthday party was awesome, the floor was shaking and the drinks were flowing. bad turn-up for my friends, but that seem to be the way things are these days. we had a pretty sick after party at the house too but ofcourse something had to disappear and this time it was my camera. being a poor photography student without a camera has never been more fun.

but i feel like ive lost a bit the spark now. sick of most things i do and even more what others do. really wish i could just go away somewhere for a long time and be without everything and everyone. unfortunately i have to magically whip up the cash for a new fucking camera and go to school every day so that wont happen.
